On July 21st 2026, AIKB members were invited for a walk in the Quenecan Forest.
The walk started from the Forges des Salles car park with 12 participants and made its way into the forest. The going was mainly flat and on good paths and tracks. They stopped at a delightful secluded Saint Ignace chapel in the forest for lunch and visited the nearby Saint Ignace fountain before walking deeper into the forest. We had a few welcome rest stops under the cool canopy of the trees and even shared a bag of smarties!!
All in, the walk was 9km and took around 3hrs 30min, including a lunch break. It was a wonderful walk in quiet and secluded surroundings.
