Dignity Policy

AIKB Members’ Dignity policy

All at AIKB are committed to creating an environment where all members are treated with dignity and respect. This policy outlines our commitment to promoting an Association that is free from bullying, harassment, and discrimination. Our aim is to foster a positive, inclusive, social environment for all our members.

Principles - All members should be treated with respect and fairness. Bullying, harassment, and discrimination will not be tolerated.  We are committed to promoting equality and celebrating diversity within our Association

Responsibilities - AIKB Board of Directors ensures the policy is communicated effectively and adhered to, take immediate and appropriate action when instances of bullying, harassment, or discrimination are reported, and promote a culture of dignity and respect. Members treat others with respect, report any instances of bullying, harassment, or discrimination, and contribute to a positive social environment.

Reporting Procedures - Informal Resolution: Members are encouraged to resolve issues informally where possible, by discussing the matter with the person involved or seeking advice from a Board Member.

If the issue cannot be resolved informally, members should submit a formal complaint in writing to the President of the board.

The complaint will be investigated promptly and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and impartiality throughout the process. The findings will be communicated to the complainant and the respondent, and appropriate action will be taken if the complaint is upheld.
