The AIKB (Association Intégration
Kreiz Breizh) is located in Gouarec 22570
and is a non-profit-making association set up in 2003 (in accordance with
French law) with the aim of helping 'newcomers' settle into their new life
in Brittany.
All members are entitled to vote
a the Annual General Meeting.
Members pay an annual subscription
of 40€ per household, plus a one-off joining fee of 10€.
Members who contribute to the assocation
by way of their subscription fee are very important in supporting the work
we do – so every member is valuable.
The AIKB:

Helps members understand official letters
and forms, make telephone calls to the administrative services, help complete
forms, and explain the steps to take with other tasks such as applying
for health cover, declaring income, applying for a residency permit, exchanging
a driving licence, setting up a business, registering a car, applying for
planning permission...

Acts as a mediator in complex cases;

Holds regular conferences – from setting
up your own business to inheritance law and lots more in between;

Organises cultural outings to places
of interest;

Arranges regular social events to help
you make new friends;

Organises French lessons for non-French
speakers;

Holds a weekly informal Conversation
Club – a chance to improve your language skills with local French volunteers;

Our English language lending library
has over a thousand books – and is regularly updated thanks to the generous
donations from our members;

Groups who meet on a regular basis –
Art Group, Textiles Group, Photography Club, Conversation Club, Book Club,
and Garden Club;

Spotlight
on Brittany is
a monthly English language community radio programme produced by the AIKB.
Listen-in to find out more about the life and culture of Brittany. We have
lots of useful topics for those new and not so new to Brittany. You can
also improve your French listening skills with our bi-lingual interviews.
All recordings can be downloaded. Spotlight on Brittany is broadcast on
Radio Kreiz Breizh and Radio Bro Gwened.
The AIKB is a RELAIS
EUROPARMOR – the Conseil Departmental 22's initiative to promote
mobility, training and working in Europe by our cultural exchange projects
with schools and colleges and promoted on our radio programme.
The AIKB is also a partner with
CPAM Côtes d'Armor – giving us direct access to CPAM on behalf of
urgent or priority cases.
