INSPIRED by ART / Club de Peinture

Three years old in October 2008, the group has grown to a membership of nearly 40, with newcomers cordially welcome.

The IBA art group is for everyone - beginners, improvers and experienced artists.

The aim of the group is to inspire, encourage and improve whilst enjoying the pleasure of painting, trying different media and new techniques, amongst friends in a relaxed atmosphere.

We meet every other Friday at the AIKB Pavilion in Gouarec from 13.45 to 16.30hrs. During one session we try new media, methods and materials, followed by the next session which is a free style afternoon when members can work on any pieces they wish.

Some sessions are lead by members who have an interest or strength in a particular medium and other sessions are taken by Jenny Bolt who has taught Art and Design for over 30 years in the UK. Every quarter we hold workshops, taken by invited artists. Planned for this year is 'A Taster in Stained Glass', 'Life Drawing', 'Tint and Pencil Miniatures', 'Watercolours' and 'Collage'.

During the summer we hold our Summer Exhibition, when we display our work at the Pavilion de Rohan, Gouarec. Other exhibitions are in the pipeline.

Ce groupe d’artistes amateurs se réunit le deuxième vendredi après midi de chaque mois pour peindre. Nous organisons également des ateliers pour enseigner l’utilisation des différents matériaux.
