INSPIRED by ART / Club de Peinture
Started in October 2005, the group has grown to a membership of nearly 40, with newcomers cordially welcome. The IBA art group is for everyone - beginners, improvers and experienced artists. The aim of the group is to inspire, encourage and improve whilst enjoying the pleasure of painting, trying different media and new techniques, amongst friends in a relaxed atmosphere.
We meet every other Friday at the AIKB Pavilion in Gouarec from 13.45 to 16.30hrs. The sessions are generally taken by Jenny Bolt, who has taught Art & Design for over 30 years in the UK, whilst some sessions are lead by members who have an interest or strength in a particular medium.
During the summer we hold our Summer Exhibition, when we display our work at the Pavilion de Rohan, Gouarec, and we have been invited to exhibit in Ploerdut and Gomene. IBA, le groupe d’artistes de l’AIKB, existe depuis 2005. Avec 40 membres
actuels, les nouveaux participants sont les bienvenues. IBA vous accueille tous, quel que soit votre niveau – de débutants à confirmé.
Le but est d’inspirer et d’encourager les membres en améliorant et en
essayant les nouveaux medias et les techniques dans une ambiance détendue
et amicale.
IBA a lieu à AIKB, 3 rue Sénéchal, Gouarec de 13h45 à 16h30. Il faut être
membre de l’AIKB et il y a une participation de 2 euros pour chaque
séance.
La plupart des séances sont animées par Jenny Bolt. Jenny a enseigné les beaux arts en Angleterre pendant plus de 30 ans. Autres séances sont
animées par d’autres membres du groupe ayant des intérêts et des compétences complémentaires.
Chaque été nous exposons nos œuvres à AIKB, Gouarec et aux autres venues en Bretagne.

9 December 2011 - New Year’s Eve has not yet arrived, and the art group has already begun to prepare for the Chinese New Year with a workshop of calligraphy and Chinese painting led by Jennifer Dodgson. After learning the basic actions, and how Chinese painting is different from Western art, the group then began to copy the Chinese Zodiac on xuan paper in anticipation of the year of the dragon, which begins January 23, 2012. Finally, they saw how the same techniques of calligraphy transfer to painting, studying an array of the artist-calligrapher Zhang Fan. The group ended the session by producing beautiful images of cherry blossoms and orchids, they could sign, of course, with a Chinese seal and red ink .
9 Decembre 2011 - Le Saint Sylvestre pas encore arrivé, le groupe IBA a déjà commencé à préparer le Nouvel an chinois avec un atélier de calligraphie et de peinture chinoise animé par Jennifer. Après avoir appris les gestes de base, et vu comment la peinture chinoise diffère de l'art occidental, le groupe s'est ensuite mis à recopier les signes du zodiaque chinois sur du papier xuan, en anticipation de l'année du dragon, qui commence le 23 janvier 2012. Finalement, ils ont vu comment les mêmes techniques se transfèrent de la calligraphie à la peinture, en étudiant un tableau de l'artiste-calligraphe Zhang Fan. Le groupe a fini la séance ayant produit de très belles images de fleurs de cérisier et d'orchidées, qu'ils ont pu signer, bien sûr, avec un sceau chinois et de l'encre rouge...
